A Life in Celebration

I had someone message me and ask what does a “Life in Celebration” mean. It actually has two meanings. First off, the reason I came into the blogging world back in 2012 was all because of a party I was hosting. I have always loved entertaining and always tried to do it with style and panache! I use my blog, Celebrate & Decorate to share all kinds of ideas for hosting your own gatherings.

The second reason I call this weekly round up, “A Life in Celebration” is because the community I live in is named Celebration! This is a community that was developed by Disney just south of Walt Disney World. Celebration is a community built on the the concept of new urbanism. New Urbanism is an urban design movement that promotes environmentally friendly habits by creating walkable neighbourhoods containing a wide range of housing and job types. If you are ever travelling down to my neck of the woods, I encourage you to come through and take a look at my charming community!

I admit it, I am ready to totally embrace fall decorating. I hope if you aren’t ready for some inspiration, you will save this to come back to when you are ready! I styled a pair of oversized arrangements for each end of my mantel this year.

To finish off my fall mantel I filled it with jewel toned dahlias, autumn leaves, combining textures and colors that exude the luxurious coming of fall.

If you are looking for something with less color to inspire your fall decorating, check out this lovely oak leaves and acorns tablescape.

Shop my favorite things this week!

This pair of lanterns is so lovely, I ordered two sets of them! They are perfect for fall decor, but will be just right for Christmas decorating too! If you like the scroll in the background, you can find that from Journey Decor!

These are just the cutest little baskets!! I have so many ideas for using them! I know they will find their way to one of my tablescapes soon! For now, they are hanging on my Autumn tree! I will be sharing the rest of my tree next week, but you might want to pick up some of these cuties soon!

Has anyone not seen these spooky Animated Floating Brooms? Every year I think about buying one of these, but I am not sure I have seen them under $100. This is the year!!

I can’t help crushing on this adorable Disney Mickey Mouse Ghost Luminary from Pottery Barn! I bet I will be seeing lots of these around my neighborhood come Halloween! Don’t miss out, I am sure this will be sold out!

  1. First of all, I love your site, and I will definitely be back. Second, I’m not trying to contact you personally, but I can’t help being curious. Chloe Crabtree is a very unusual name. About 62 or 3 years ago I lived in Kansas City, Kansas and had a very good friend across the street named, you got it, Chloe Crabtree. I know that sometimes names are passed down, any relation? (My name was Edwards at the time)

    1. Pat, What a coincidence! No relation that I know! I was named after my mother, so there you are! Now I did live in Wichita, Kansas for about 4 years! My Crabtree relatives came from southern Ohio.
