A Peek into My Christmas Kitchen

I shared the front porch and the family room in my home all decked out for Christmas in Welcome to my Holiday Home, but there are some other fun little touches I want to share today.

Last time, I welcomed you through the front door and shared the front porch. This week, let’s come in the back porch with a pair of simple faux evergreen wreaths with classic plaid bows.

Just like on the front porch, my pillows get holiday pillow covers. Pillow covers are so much easier to store than seasonal pillows. These are way more economical, too!

When you come in my back doors you come into my tavern room. This is a big room where we added a bar and my big farmhouse table. This chalkboard hangs behind our bar.

I am planning to add this fixture above the chalkboard in a triple design in 2021. What do you think?

My table has been set for a big group, of course there will not be a big group around my Christmas table this year. You can see more of my Christmas tablescape at Joy to the World Tablescape. This is opposite the side of the room with the bar.

I have two pantries in my kitchen, a small closet one and a large walk in pantry for storing dishes. Since this one is a little more distant from the kitchen, I selected this cute Christmas tree sign from Target and added it to a wreath tucked inside a small whitewashed tobacco basket for the dish pantry.

The other pantry door got decorated with this wreath I made using my baking elf, Mrs. Claus Cookie Company sign and some vintage cookie cutters. I remember making cookies with my Mom using these very cookie cutters!

I like to have Christmas decorations in the kitchen where I spend a lot of time this month baking Christmas treats! I find the best way to keep that decor corralled is to keep most of it on a tiered tray on the kitchen island.

Last year Target had all of these cute Mrs. Claus cookie company products in the dollar spot and I bought lots of them! This is my favorite mug for hot chocolate!

I have been collecting these Annalee figurines for a few years now. I usually pick them up at Home Goods, but you can find them on Amazon, among other places.

I think this little Mrs. Claus baker will need to join my collection this year!

After all of the baking a cookie plate for Santa and mini candy canes come out for a bit of peppermint. They make a great addition to a cup of hot cocoa! Who else just wants to watch Christmas movies and bake stuff?

Of course I have tucked a few holiday kitchen towels around the room and I always add my cute little Santa boot bank. The rubber stopper in the bottom of the bank has dried and crumbled long ago. This was a gift from my mother in law who passed away several years ago. She gave this to me when my husband and I were dating in high school. This is obviously a dear treasure.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my Christmas kitchen today. If you still have shopping you need to do, you might want to take a peek at the items at the bottom of this post. They can be delivered right to you!

I am so happy to be joining Cindy from Cloches and Lavender and Terrie from Decorate and More with Tip in this little peek into some bloggers holiday homes!
