Blue and White Chinoiserie Tablescape with Peony Centerpiece

It is that wonderful time of the year when the peonies are in bloom, summer season! Time to buy peonies, or if you are lucky enough to have them growing where you live, cut them and bring them in and enjoy them on your table! A great way to display the peonies is to display them in my items of the chinoiserie decor.

The soft pink and deep magenta blooms are lovely with my table settings all in shades of blue. Caskata salad plates featuring a rich blue and white peony bloom are a perfect addition to this chinoiserie tablescape! White pieces, such as my placemats, dinner plates and napkins make the blues stand out even better.

Do you enjoy setting a table as much as I do? I love every minute of it! I may try out different dishes, different stemware or linens. Deciding on a place setting can be like a puzzle, trying out the different pieces until I find the ones that go together the best. I also like to set different tables, this time a little more formal at my dining room table.

I picked up these beautiful Spruzzo glass chargers several years ago at Z Gallerie. I have wanted to add to the six I have for years but they currently only carry them in silver, gold and white. Right now they are on sale, marked down from $79.80 to $58.99!

My dinner plates are Chelse Muse, which I use as my everyday plates. I like having a variety of white dinner plates to switch up with different salad or appetizer plates. Do you like to set your dining table or prefer to dine casually?

The colors of the peonies make a beautiful statement in the center of the table, particularly in contrast to the blue and white of the linens and the are a wonderful contrast to the all of the blue and white.

The silverware I chose to use for this tablescape was given to me by my mother. It is a collection, some of it antique silver from my grandmother and some that my mother added to. I am honored to have it!

The stemware I selected is simple. The blue wine goblets are simple glasses from Home Goods. The crystal water goblets are Marquis by Waterford.

I like to use different textures on my tablescapes. This photo captures the details of just some of the textures. I admit I like I themed tablescape which is an effortless way to tie everything on your tabletop together in a cohesive manner.

A blue and white pretty container is always a lovey way to display colorful blooms.

The blue and white color palette are just right in my blue dining room.

I thought I would give you a little more of a view of my dining room by pulling back. Items of the chinoiserie decor sit on a nearby table against a wall of classic blue.

Thanks for stopping by, I have some fun summer tablescapes coming up right here soon!
