Celebrate Your Story! #21

Things have been really crazy at my house with my two granddaughters and my dear daughter here, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I may not be posting quite so often, but I wouldn’t give up this precious time for anything.  If you are a military family or have a military family among your extended family, you know how trying it can be when someone is deployed or living overseas.  My daughter gave birth to both of my granddaughters in Germany, so we are so thrilled they are now going to be back living in the good old USA!  I am so happy that we bought a home with enough space that they can come and stay comfortably while they are here.  Now back to Celebrating and Decorating!  EPCOT Flower and Garden FestivalOne of my favorite things in Orlando at this time of year is Walt Disney World’s Flower and Garden Festival.  I haven’t really figured out gardening here in Florida, but in Ohio at one time I had a beautiful and ornate herb knot garden.  I don’t even know if I want to garden in Florida, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy taking in the beauty that is found at EPCOT at this time of year.  These amazing massive carpets of flowers and foliage are planted around two giant lagoons each year.  They are like a patchwork of floral beauty! Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Topiary at EPCOT Flower and GardenThere are hundreds of special topiaries throughout the park to delight guests of all ages.  If you don’t get a chance to ever come down here to see this, check out all of the photos over at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival website.  Now it is time to party!  Let’s see what your story is for the past week!

  1. Two of our sons were deployed overseas. The oldest was in Germany and I went there when his youngest child was born that was mid-9o’s. The second oldest was deployed 7 times and two of those times was in Irag and those were truly some of the most heart wrenching times of our lives. By the Grace of God he came home safe and sound. This is a special time for you and your family and I can only imagine how full your heart is right now. Enjoy!

    1. Oh, Sandra, I cannot imagine having one of my children deployed to an active war zone, I am sure you prayed for his safety every single day! Yes, we are loving every minute we are having to enjoy them!
