Celebrating with a Barbie Tablescape!
I caught the Barbie movie last week and was surprised and delighted with it! Barbie was absolutely my favorite doll and this was a trip down memory lane for me! I was still in the theater when I began thinking of hosting a Barbie-themed party. That quickly changed into the concept of a Barbie-inspired tablescape. I began thinking about what I would want to do for a Barbie party.

Barbie party centerpiece:
For the middle of the table, I used pink feather boas with a generous number of sparkly disco balls in a variety of sizes. I felt these added playful charm to the perfect theme!
This photo of Margot Robbie as Barbie, sitting at her ‘mirror’ caught my attention, so I used Dollar Tree items to create my own version of pink and crystal ‘mirrors’ for my Barbie centerpiece.
That iconic Barbie silhouette makes the perfect decor on my chalkboard. I used an Ikea picture frame and backed it with some hot pink wrapping paper before adding the paper silhouette.
Barbie tablescape place settings:
Place settings began with pale pink chargers from Z Gallerie topped with Kate Spade Larabee Road dinner plates in platinum. I added these fun paper plates from Meri Meri and finished them off with matching Larabee Road salad plates.
Flatware coordinated with the place settings with pink handles. A hot pink tablecloth is a great base for my party table.
Barbie tablescape place cards:
Just for fun, I added name cards with Barbie’s name and the names of some of the iconic Barbie friends and relatives!
Barbie party favors and treats:
Party favors were fun little mirrored compacts set on each place setting with a raspberry macaron tucked inside each one.
Barbie is all about sweet and sugary, so I had to add some treats! I baked some Barbie silhouette cookies and frosted them in pink. I added some sprinkles to some of them. When I was in my local macaron shop I spotted these chocolate lips and lipsticks, so I just had to add them to my dessert plate.!
