DIY Jack O' Lantern on a Candlestick Craft

Grab a few simple items like a candlestick, a Dollar Tree spider web, a jack o’ lantern, and some black and orange faux flowers to craft a charming Halloween decoration that brings a playful and spooky touch to your home.

This is an easy craft that you can replicate in just thirty minutes or so! Start with a candle holder and add a generous amount of hot glue around the top edge.

Press down a circle of styrofoam securely onto the candle holder where you have added the hot glue.

When your hot glue has set up and the styrofoam circle is secure, take your Dollar Tree spider web and set it on top of the styrofoam.

Use greening pins to secure the web to the styrofoam. Use as many as necessary to make sure it is firmly secure.

This photo is from a different project, but this shows how you should use the greening pins to attach the web to the styrofoam.

When you have secured the spider web, move to your jack o’lantern and add a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom of it.

Place the jack o’lantern on top of the spider web and press down until it is secured to the styrofoam and web.

Gather some orange and black florals and leaves to finish off your project.

I spotted these fun feathery black picks and added these first. Choose picks and florals with stiff stems to easily stick into the styrofoam.

Add the picks, the leaves and florals both above and below the spider web covering up all of the styrofoam.

Orange roses that pick up on the color of the jack o’ lantern are a fun choice. Remember, you can choose a jack o’lantern of any color and use any color flowers to create the decoration of your dreams!

The arrangement is done! Now it is time to add some lights to my jack o’ lantern!

The jack o’ lantern I bought came with electric lights. I removed them. This is the hole in the back of pumpkin. I used it to insert battery operated lights.
