Neutral Fall Tablescape Ideas
Fall is my favorite season. I usually use the autumn color palette for tables I set for fall holidays. Today I wanted to share some great ideas for using a neutral color scheme to style a beautiful fall tablescape.
Neutral Fall Centerpieces:
Using a neutral fall garland to make a table runner style centerpiece, you can tuck velvet pumpkins among the fall leaves.

A simple fall centerpiece can’t get easier for a white table setting than this white bowl filled with white pumpkins and a few pale leaves. This centerpiece would be perfect with a white table setting.

Cream pumpkins tucked onto a tray with fall magnolia leaves and pine cones lend themselves to a farmhouse table. I added a few sprigs of bittersweet, but you could leave that out if you stick with strictly neutral decor.

A Neutral Fall Tablescape:

The beautiful tablescape I am setting for the early fall season is all about the neutrals. Brown faux leather placemats were the base for my place settings. I topped them with cream colored dinner plates and salad plates. I have had this collection of dishes for years now. I love the pattern embossed with pine cones and pine sprigs.

Paper table accents from Hester & Cook beneath the flatware is an easy way to add a little more fall decor.

This is a fairly simple fall tablescape that would be easy for anyone to put together.

Three wooden candle holders hold neutral colored pillar candles. They add a soft glow to the table as the sun sets in the evening. Although they appear more gray in these photos, the linen napkins are actually tan and white striped.

Down the center of the table I used a faux garland of weathered fall leaves and tucked some pumpkins made of natural elements.

This view of my dining table shows you how my open concept home flows into my living space beyond. The neutral colors work perfectly with the classic fall colors I have used to decorate my mantel in the room beyond.

More Neutral Place Settings
How do you decide on a place setting for a tablescape? I often try out all kinds of combinations of place settings before I finalize my place settings.
The focal point of this place setting is certainly the striking salad plates with the pheasant design on them. I have had these for several years after spotting them at Pottery Barn. I have used these for my Thanksgiving dinner when I have had a small group.

Think layers with a brown placemat topped with a weathered white wooden charger and top them with a white dinner plate and brown salad plate. For a farmhouse look, roll your napkins and tie them with a piece of twine.

A little touch of pink can be incorporated in your neutral fall table setting. The pale brown leaves on the salad plate complement the brown dinner plate while the pink florals pair with the pale pink charger.

It is a perfect time of year to set a table with forest walk salad plates by Juliska. Knot your napkins and set them on your salad plate for a casual place setting.

Although they are not vibrant colors on the forest walk plates, perhaps you want to go more neutral. This white on white plate stack featuring a white charger, a white dinner plate and a white salad plate allows you the fall vibes be the focus of your table. Cloth napkins can be an additional decorative element, like this one rolled and tied with a piece of twine.

I hope you have been inspired by all of these fall table decor ideas. I have enjoyed sharing all of this neutral fall decor and want to wish you each a happy fall!
