Oscars Watch Party

Any opportunity to get dressed up, get together and enjoy the company of one another along with some fun food and drinks is something I am showing up for! I enjoyed watching the Grammys, especially the Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs duet. Now, I am gearing up for the Academy Awards!

The Academy Awards will be held on March 10th, 2024! Get ready and get your glam on! This is an evening all about the glitz and glitter! You can go black and gold with pops of white like I did, or roll out the red carpet with lots of red.

Whatever you decide, gold is the color of the night as a nod to the Oscar award himself. Of course, I have never received an Oscar, despite my performances over the years, so I substituted this imitation. Gold wrapped Ferrero Rocher chocolates complemented the other treats offered to guests.

In addition to the popcorn, I set up clear jars of golden gumballs, gold wrapped chocolates and golden swizzle sticks. Guests were encouraged to help themselves.

We are celebrating so much more than just the motion pictures this year. Let’s celebrate being able to gather together celebrate ANYTHING! Bring on the bubbly! I dressed up these champagne flutes with gold straws cut and topped with gold glitter pom poms.

What is a trip to the movies without popcorn? I offered up some delicious popcorn in shimmery gold popcorn boxes along with an oversized jar for free refills!

Would you like to really have some fun? Create your own Academy Awards Bingo game and enjoy the laughs! You can download the free printables here! Or maybe you want to rate the fashions as the stars arrive on the red carpet. Give everyone sheets of papers or poster board with numbers or thumbs up or down to rate the looks!

Balloons make any gathering feel like a party! It is so EASY to make a balloon garland these days, I will be sharing a step by step tutorial in the coming weeks. I used black, gold and white balloons to make a garland over the top of the backdrop and down the right side. I complemented this with a garland down the left side of the service bar.

I added little battery lights on a wire to add to the ambiance as the sun set on this fun evening!

  1. Chloe, I just love all the glitter and gold for this event! How fun! You have certainly made it feel very old Hollywood during the days of the silver screen. Naturally, I would love to be there rating all the dresses and styles of the actors and actresses. You continue to be such an inspiration!

  2. I love the way the balloons turned out. I wish we were watching them together. Your table looks amazing, although I could eat all of that popcorn by myself. What is everyone else going to eat?
