A Patriotic Celebration Tablescape

Will you be celebrating the Fourth of July this year?   A patriotic celebration tablescape is the perfect way to welcome guests, especially my daughter and son in law who have spent the last three Julys in Germany!  You may be entertaining in a park or the backyard, but here in Florida, Summertime often means moving the party indoors because of afternoon rain showers.  I will be grilling out for the holiday, but have set my table in our tavern room where we will dine in comfortable air conditioning and won’t worry about an unexpected thunderstorm.

God Bless America Tablescape

Patriotic Tablescape

I am keeping my table a little homespun this year with durable jute placemats topped with distressed-looking chargers.  I picked up these chargers from Hobby Lobby.  My centerpiece is a white lantern I filled with little American flags and wooden red, white and blue stars.

Fourth of July Chalkboard MessageMy wonderful chalkboard arches from the big sale at Renninger’s are getting dressed up for the holiday with some chalk art by a friend (I wish I had this talent).  The garland was a buy at $3 in the bargain section at the front of Target.  For $3 I couldn’t make my own!

Fourth of July Place Setting

The chargers were topped with my red crackle ware dishes from the Pioneer Woman that I had delivered right to my house from Amazon.  I have invested in a dozen of these plates, since red can be used for Christmas or the Fourth of July, two occasions when I am likely to have a large number of house guests.  Fourth of July TabletopMy flatware is also from the Pioneer Woman, also in red.  The pattern is Cowgirl Lace.  At $33 for 16 piece set, I am tempted to add the pretty pearlized green to my tabletop cupboard, too. Red, White and Blue Tablescape Candy Blast! Gumballs for the Fourth of July

Fun little jars of red white and blue gumballs I found at Home Goods dress up the table along with some navy blue ribbon with white stars.  The fun red striped and blue starred glassware came from Home Goods this year.  I will be serving some homemade lemonade and sweet tea so I have added some red, white and blue striped straws.  Whatever you do for your Summer celebrations, I hope they are filled with family, friends and good food!
