The View from Foxglove Hill
What a wonderful week it’s been as we’ve settled into full summer mode here at Foxglove Hill! My granddaughters headed off to summer camp, which means my chauffeur duties—driving to lessons, practices, and activities—are on hold for the next month.
Whatever your plans are this week, I hope you enjoy a wonderful Fourth of July. And to my Canadian friends, Happy Canada Day!

Of course, I already miss seeing them every day, but the highlight of each afternoon is getting the camp photos and catching a little glimpse into their adventures. There’s something so special about seeing those smiling faces, whether they’re trying a new activity, making new friends, or simply enjoying a carefree summer day. It brings a smile to my face every single time.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about confidence. Obviously, my granddaughter at camp does not have a confidence issue!
Not confidence in the big things, but in the little things that make a home feel beautiful.
This week I shared a tutorial on arranging grocery store flowers, and as I was putting it together, I realized that the biggest obstacle isn’t finding the right flowers. It isn’t choosing the perfect vase. It isn’t even knowing where to begin.
It’s believing you have the ability to create something beautiful.

Over the years I’ve heard so many people say, “I just don’t have your talent.”

The truth is, I wasn’t born knowing how to arrange flowers. Like anything else, it came from doing it over and over again—cutting stems too long, making arrangements that leaned to one side, taking photos and realizing something looked “off,” then trying again.
That’s how we learn.
My hope with this week’s tutorial isn’t that you’ll create an arrangement exactly like mine. It’s that you’ll stop walking past those grocery store flower buckets thinking they’re meant for someone else.

They’re for you.
A handful of flowers, a simple vase, and a few techniques can transform an ordinary trip to the grocery store into something that brings joy to your kitchen table all week long.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn, I hope you’ll give it a try. You might surprise yourself.
After all, creating a beautiful home isn’t about perfection.
It’s about having the confidence to begin.

Some of my favorite summer memories have happened around simple tables like this—proof that it isn’t elaborate entertaining people remember, it’s how you made them feel.
This week I’m sharing how to create a charming backyard pallet picnic that’s equal parts relaxed and magical. Whether you’re planning a date night, gathering a few friends, or simply looking for a new way to enjoy a warm summer evening, this picnic is proof that some of the most memorable moments happen right in your own backyard.

I also linked all of my favorite pieces—from lanterns and pillows to tableware and décor—so you can easily recreate the look or use the ideas as inspiration for your own outdoor entertaining.
If you’ve been waiting for the “perfect” reason to eat outside this summer, consider this your sign.
This week at Foxglove Hill
🍃 I’m Loving: This battery backup! It brings my iphone up to 100% quicker than plugging it into a traditional wall outlet! This power bank packs 3 built-in output cables (USB-C, Micro-USB, and the other cable for iPhone 12–14 series plus older iPads) alongside 3 additional ports (USB-C x1, USB-A x2) – giving you the ability to charge up to 6 devices simultaneously. That’s the most of any power bank on the market.

Every purchase—big or small—helps me continue creating tutorials, decorating ideas, and inspiration for you, and I’m so grateful for your support.
🌸 I’m Styling: These lovely Marlowe Glen picture frames! Perfect for gallery walls, these come as a set of three. They are 11 x 14 with an included mat for 8 x 10 photos. The best thing…they come with a template you can tape right on the wall to position the frames correctly! I am replacing a large oversized picture with this set of six equestrian prints I picked up on Amazon for just 14.95!!! (The set of prints was a set of nine, but I am just using six in this location.)

☕ I’m Using Every Day: I love using one of my Nulaxy phone holders all around my home. This holder has rubber pads that keep the stand from scratching any surface and keeps my phone or tablet face visible for viewing. You can’t beat picking up a pair of these for $13.99 on Amazon, and like me, you will probably want one for several rooms in your home!
