Serving up delicious cheeses and wine is a great way to casually entertain friends. I decided to set up my little buffet on the bar in our tavern room. I set the scene with a pair of candlesticks upon which I arranged fall flowers. Leaves and grapes, allowing the greenery to trail down across my slate cheese boards and wooden cutting board.
Everything was set up early in the day, all I would have to add is my cheeses and the bottles of wine.
The nature inspired ribbons from Cream City Ribbon that I used for my Woodland tablescape were a great addition to my buffet, curling around the greenery with wine corks tucked in, too.
I love to use parchment leaves beneath my cheeses, it make the presentation all that more special. A stack of green plates is ready for guests to help themselves. This is the Sierra Pine pattern from Bonjour for Paula Deen.
I have this set of leaf-handled cheese knives that I love to bring out this time of year which fit the theme of my buffet so well.
Along with a selection of cheeses, I served tiny toasts, skinny bread sticks, honey, nuts and figs.
I picked up this fall wreath at Home Goods and removed all of the gray pumpkins from it for my Thanksgiving tablescape. For this wine and cheese gathering I added fall florals and leaves and a cluster of dark purple grapes.
Invite in friends for a lovely evening of wine and cheese. Styling a pretty display will add to the festivities.
What a terrific backdrop for your wine & cheese buffet! Love the fall florals, grapes and the way you arranged them cascading down from candlesticks – so smart! The set up for the cheeses looks great too – never seen leaf parchment before and what a lovely addition it makes to your display.
Thank you so much Lori. Those parchment leaves make such a nice presentation, and clean up is easier, too!
Chloe, this is a great way to entertain without a lot of fuss! Your presentation is stunning!

Alright Chloe! This is beautiful and what a backdrop. The cheese slicers are so unique and I can’t say enough about that overhead shot. Lucky are the guests invited to this soiree!
Chloe sorry I’m behind. Phone issues yesterday almost sent me over the edge.
This is gorgeous and warm for a assortment of cheeses and wine. Love your cheese knives with leaves. Using the parchment leaves is perfect for a base too.
Don’t you enjoy this Tim of year for these gatherings?
Enjoy your day my friend
