A Life in Celebration…2.0
I am sorry to have been away for awhile. Navigating the world as the sandwich generation, taking care of an elderly parent along with helping with grandchildren when I can has taken its toll on me lately. For all of you dear readers who have been kind enough to inquire, my father is almost 100% back after his Easter Sunday fall down the stairs. In the meantime, I traveled up to the Atlanta area to help prepare my granddaughters for summer camp. I went to summer camp for one week as a child and LOVED it. I discovered this amazing camp for my two grandaughters and this year they return for the fourth summer. As my oldest granddaughter says, “its my happy place.” There is a LOT that goes into backing two trunks and four duffles for five weeks of camp.
Now…back to celebrating and decorating! Will you be celebrating the Fourth of July? I have a lot of fun ideas for the holiday that I have rounded up for you! My favorite is my firecracker cupcakes!! You can find the easy tutorial here!

My front porch is almost ready for the holiday! All it will take is the addition of some flags and bunting! The red geraniums I chose for the porch this year are easily going to change into a patriotic look!

Don’t miss the tutorial for the geranium filled basket on the front door, since this is a look you can use year round, just by switching up what you put in your basket!

I can’t leave you this week without sharing my absolute favorite summer items! These gorgeous solar lanterns are not expensive and add such a magical glow to any outdoor evening!
This waterproof solar light makes flowers and dragonflies dance around an outdoor tabletop!
