Blue & White for Timeless Interiors

Blue & White for Timeless Interiors

Is there any color combination more loved than blue and white?  My very first apartment with my husband was decorated in blue and white.  Over the years we have gone different directions, but this, likely our last home is all about the blue and white. This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience.   Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Cindy from DIY Beautify created a welcoming guest room with subtle accents of blue and white.  She shows you how in her guest room you can begin to switch up the colors of a room with easy changes.

My own living room has taken blue and white a little more bold with my blue velvet Pottery Barn sofa.  This rug is one of my best bargain finds!  Believe it or not, this is from Walmart and only $276!!

White cabinets are such a classic, and when you fill it with blue and white dishes.

Blue is cool and soothing, relaxing, even peaceful.  Blue reminds us of the ocean or a pool and this bathroom from the 2019 Coastal Living Idea house complements its waterside locale.  Of course blue and white are always the right choice for a coastal home.  This gallery wall is a great way to welcome guests to a coastal home.  Chinosiere is always an easy way to add crisp blue and white to your home.

      Really nice cozy and comfortable.

    2. Wow I love it. I’ve got tons of blue too, but looking for some new pillows. I love the blue towels and the rug.

    3. I’ve become a fan of blue again. I don’t know why I stopped.

I have loved blue since I was young. I’m adding more and more.

I’m dreaming of a blue and white kitchen with a few yellow accents.
      Love your blue and white!

    5. This is so timely! I’ve always decorated in earth tones, which fit in with living in New England. We are building our final home in North Carolina and I’m leaning towards blue instead of earth tones. This article has given me much inspiration. thanks!

    6. My living room has gray walls, white trim, dark blue carpet and white upholstered Queen Anne furniture. I like to see how you decorate with blue and white and get some ideas from your website. You are an inspiration. After seeing your site, I just created an arrangement for the center of the dining room table using white and pale blue hydrangeas and iris in a silver water pitcher. From time to time I have used ‘accent colors’ of red, sometimes yellow, sometimes pink with my blue and white colors. My Christmas tree (which stays up year round) is decorated in a patriotic theme of red-white-blue with white lights. Thank you for your website.
