If Only…

If Only…

Do you ever catch yourself saying, “if only ______” .  Then you fill in the blank.  If only I had more money, if only I lived in a different house, if only I lost 20 pounds, if only I had encouragement.

You know how it is, if only I had this or did that or could the other thing…

I try to never use “if only”.  I wake up with a grateful heart and mindset of  gratitude.

Look at your blessings and thank the Lord for them.  Gather up all of your strength and fortitude and step forward and do what you want to with what you have.

Take that first step, you will not be sorry.  Don’t worry over those “if onlys” . Step forward and celebrate who you are and what your amazing talents are! &nbsp

  1. Chloe, I love this! I am usually not an “if only” person. Each day is a blessing and I have a choice of what I’m going to make of it. I try to make the most of it and try to be a blessing to someone else. It doesn’t always happen, but I have to try! have a great one!

    1. Thank you so very much for taking the time to comment, Benita! I know we all occasionally fall into “bad” traps or thoughts, but I, too, try to keep a positive outlook on life. I know at this time of year, with goal setting and resolutions, sometimes we can get too hard on ourselves. I am so happy to hear from you! I hope your year is off to a great start and finishes even better!

    1. Thank you Pam, I was just feeling it after listening to some people complain about their lives. I agree, each day is a blessing! God bless you and your family for the coming year!

  2. Love it. As a long time cancer survivor, I have to be grateful every day.
Several years ago, I saw sign in Joann’s that I just loved. It said: “Somebody else would be happy to have what you have” That was a reality check.
