The Day Hometalk Visited My Home
The lovely staff at  Hometalk had contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in hosting some of their Hometalk Facebook Live programs, visiting homes of Hometalkers in my area.  I have had a great relationship with Hometalk.  Thanks to them I have had content shared widely across the internet.  I thought this was a great opportunity, and immediately said “YES”.  Next thing you know, they wanted me to host my first tour of my home!
Guests to my home this day and now until I switch things up for Halloween will be welcomed with this lush arrangement that is anchored by an inexpensive picture frame. Â Here is the DIY for a picture frame wreath. Â I used the same frame when it was painted a different color for my Fourth of July DIY Wreath. Â
I didn’t really discuss this rug in the foyer of my home, but this arrived just a couple of days before the home tour. Â I am still waiting for the sisal area rugs for the living room and dining room, but it is nice to have this one. Â
As you step into the dining room, you can see the table is set all in coral and turquoise for a pretty coral inspired tablescape .  My dining table and chairs are from Ballard Designs. Â
I was so glad for us to get our family room pulled together. Â This room is comfortable and relaxed. Â We can cuddle with granddaughters on these sofas, or my husband and I can each claim one of these to ourselves for an evening of television watching. Â The boat in the opening between our living room and this family room gives a little bit of a break between the rooms. Â The boat is from Williams Sonoma Home. Â
I love displaying palms in the jars I have collected from Home Goods. Â
My master bedroom is getting fun with my flirty flamingos taking up residence on my bed.
This is our guest room that has become known as “the bird” room due to the little bird on the headboard. Â Check out all of the details at, A Pretty Cottage Guest Room. Â
Of course nothing is as much fun to decorate as a child’s room, or in this case, the room my granddaughters stay in when they come to visit. Â Decorating a Nautical Nursery was a fun project!
One of my two guest rooms, this one with a French feel and some equestrian accents. Â You can see more of this bedroom at A French Equestrian Themed Guest Room. Â There is more on the video and I will be sharing more and more as things progress! Â Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Dawn, I was nervous, but it came out okay.
Loved seeing your attractive home. You did a great job commentating and were relaxed and poised like a professional.
Oh, thank you Bonnie, I am glad I fooled you all, I was NERVOUS! I will be hosting again, another home on Thursday, the 8th at 1:00! I won’t be as nervous this time!
How exciting Chloe! I can see why they asked you to do a tour, your home looks magazine perfect! Love the large sailboat and your refreshing color palette!
Oh, thank you Jenna, you are so very kind! I am enjoying putting it all together.
I loved the video and everything is coming together beautifully in your home. I’m looking forward to your holiday decor!
Thank you Sandra! I am saving my pennies (and dollars) for a new tree, I have never had such high ceilings and my old tree would be dwarfed in this place!
That sailboat decoration is so cool! That’s awesome you are doing live HomeTalks, congrats! #HomeMattersParty
Thank you Nicole!
Hi Chloe, your home is beautiful. I just began looking at sofas for our new house. I see you have a couple of leather Chesterfields which is what I am looking at. Are you happy with it? Is the leather cozy or do you recommend fabric? Does it stain? I am worried about that issue. Any thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Oh, thank you Kelly. After months of research I bought mine at Restoration Hardware. They were certainly an investment, but I am so very happy with them. I was worried about fabric staining, so I went with the leather. It is distressed so nothing seems to stain or mark it. We are just two adults living here, but have had our toddler granddaughters and our daughter with us for three months as they transitioned back to the US from overseas. Those girls crawled all over those sofas and you would never know it. Good luck on your search and ultimate purchase!
Hi Chloe. Thanks for sharing your home. I loved it. Was kinda hoping you’d show the room you do all of your crafts in. Love watching your videos.
Thank you Nicole, oh my, that room is such a mess right now, I will be addressing that in the future!
