Cool Down With a Frozen Themed Ice Cream Social!
How about we beat the heat with a Frozen Themed Ice Cream Social?
I traveled up to Ohio this past week to prepare our condominium for sale. I was looking forward to a break in the hot weather in Florida. What happened? Record high temperatures in Cleveland! I decided it was time to cool down with some frosty fun!

I have two granddaughters, so you know they love everything about Frozen, and this celebration is no exception! I brought out the icy blue tree I received a couple of years ago from Treetopia. All kinds of fur and icicle decorations added to the frosty feeling.
This set the perfect backdrop for Frozen inspired ice cream sundaes. guests could help themselves from silver and blue candy toppings. For those too impatient to fuss with toppings, they could just add a little candy Olaf or snowflake to their frosty treat! What a wonderful way to celebrate National Ice Cream Month! Gather friends and family and serve up this cool treat in your favorite way!
A gathering this special deserves special ice cream, so I mixed up a couple of batches of our favorite homemade ice cream! It doesn’t take too much work, and is SO worth the time and effort! You can read all about it right here!
Swizzle sticks of rock candy seemed to be a popular choice instead of spoons! Serve up some frozen fun this summer with a Frozen themed ice cream social!
I enjoyed turning on my tree lights the night before my ice cream social and wanted to share a couple of the magical images with you. I think I will have to invite Elsa and Olaf to come and visit my blue tree again for Christmas!
What is your favorite summertime ice cream treat? If you had a Christmas tree that wasn’t green, what color would you choose?
Ice cream sounds wonderful for these hot summer days! I’d rather have a green tree, but if I had to take one of another color, I think I’d choose white.
I have had a white one and they are fun to decorate, too!
It looks very enchanting and inviting. As far as having a tree of another colour, I would have to choose a black tree. It would need to have natural looking branches and not the tinsel or bottle brush type trees. I did see a wrought iron tree online at Walmart once. I have few black wrought iron pieces like a tiered plant stand and a couple of birdcages around the room. Maybe that one. Just kidding.
That sounds really interesting. How would you decorate it?
I have no idea. I am no longer able to decorate and craft anymore. My hands shake too much. I will have to just enjoy your creations, past and future.
